Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:
*We would like to share the Full and Associate Member membership numbers and disaggregated membership data publicly. Please indicate on the membership form, as prompted, if you do not want us to share this information. We will never share personal information.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:
a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting us using the contact details given above.
b) We have a contractual obligation.
c) We have a legal obligation.
We will not pass your details to a third party.
How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored by CEC secretariat and the CEC Executive and Membership Team.
We will keep your personal information (shown above) as long as you remain a member of the CEC. We will then delete your information by amending our data records appropriately.

We currently collect and process the following information:

- Name of Institution/Society
- Type of Institution/Society
- Explanation of activities
- Name, Address, email address and phone number of Secretary (or other person) to whom communications should be addressed
- Name, Address, email address and phone number of your organisation’s designated representative
- Website address
- Number of full professional members including gender disaggregated data* (see note below)
- Number of student and other members including gender disaggregated data* (see note below)
- Names and email addresses of the President, governing body members, Executive Director/CEO, key Management staff
Individual Members’ Data:

- Full Name
- Gender
- Country
- Corresponding Address including Email
- Qualifications
- Occupation and area of practice
- Company
- Nature of Company
- Membership Organisation
- Area of interest
